It's all action all the time for guests on the go at this "charming" spot with "plenty of activities" including biking, rollerblading, boating and sightseeing on "quaint" Balboa Island or Newport Beach, as well as tennis and shuffleboard on the hotel's "pretty" grounds; the "personable" staff is a plus, but some don't dig the "overpriced" restaurant or the "shabby" furnishings and fixtures that are "showing their age."

Not a 4 star by any standards. The rooms are outdated. Restaurant is expensive with mediocre food at best. Pay parking in a residential area. I paid over $50 for breakfast for two. This hotel did not meet my expectations. It's a 3 to 3.5 star on a good day. ...read more
